Who We Are

The Charles Houston Advisory Council (CHAC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization comprised of volunteers who are passionate about making a positive difference in the community.

Our Purpose

We serve and support the Charles Houston Recreation Center’s (CHRC) high priority unfunded needs through fundraising and community engagement.

It is the responsibility of the CHAC to advise the CHRC program staff on the types of recreation services and facilities desired by the community, to assert its willingness to contribute toward the cost of programs and activities for center or program section participants, and to help promote the available programs for all age groups.
